Water Quality in USJ - what our Residents have to say about it

The water quality of our area - particularly my house and my immediate neighbors on USJ 23/3A had been supplied with very poor quality tap water since last year. We too have to change the water filter cartridges on very frequent basis.

You get my full support to bring to us good clean quality water to our home. I have installed 3 water filters and a purifier for our usage and consumption. Yes, the filters are quickly choked up with undesirable elements which, I believe we also paid for them as they go through the meter. No wonder water filters are selling like hot cakes nowadays.

I suppose it is timely for the consumer to raise this issue with the relevant authority since the Selangor Water Dept has indicated they will increase the rate for our water consumption. In return I don't think it is too much for the consumer requesting them to provide us with clean and clear water without sediment.

It is about time we take action. I also have two filters, one fitted outside my house another at the kitchen sinks. The one outside get also blocked with brownish and smelly dirt and sediment. I have to change the cartridge very regularly. My kitchen taps always blocked with sands and small particles ... I don't know what is the status of my water tank with these kind of dirts going through my water filter. If JBA Selangor wish to increase the rate, they have no ground for the increase and they should wait until it is proven that the water quality is at par or above the acceptable standard (i.e. we can use the water without any filter).

I support the "task force" all the way and willing to become a member of this task force.

I believe that all residents of USJ have this problems and it was confirm when I bought a water filter for my house. The dealer for the filter told me that the water quality in USJ area is the dirtiest and have been so for a long time.

I have gave up changing my filter every week, becos' it is too much work and this days I only do so every 2 weeks..this is becos I have another filter inside my kitchen ( for drinking and cooking ).But the question is..how and what should we do to improve the current quailty of our water...any ideas...???
