Minutes of Meetings Survey September 2001
USJ23 Neighbourhood

Do you think that it is acceptable to post the Minutes of all our meetings on our website for everyone to see? There are numerous Organisations that do it to keep everyone informed of what transpires during their meetings.

Since we are a Neighbourhood Community, a non profit organisation, we would like very much to be totally transparent, but would you be interested in such information?

We did post the Minutes of the Meetings some months back, however they were later withdrawn because of a few objections, this time around you decide.

Comments from our Residents about Minutes of Meetings

  1. Yes or No ? Should we post USJ 23 Monthly Committee Meetings on our website. My answer is Yes, if each resident is able to access it using a "PASSWORD". This will ensure some degree of confidentiality, as it is only proper that even non profitable organisations do not reveal their Minutes of Meetings to "all". What do my USJ 23 friends think? I would be happier if more residents come forward and give their comments, after all "WE ARE ONE BIG FAMILY". (Yee Foon Kong)

  2. I agree that it should be posted on our website so that all the residents will know what is going on in our community. Well it would be ideal if we can limit the accessible of the minutes to only our residents as some of the information especially in relation to "Security" should be kept confidential. (Beh Yong Hock)

  3. Protect certain pages of our website so that only Residents with Password can access them? NO PROBLEM. (Webmaster)

  4. In the interest of transparency, I would like to propose that minutes of the our committee meetings be made available to our residents. This is to ensure that our residents are kept abreast on issues that were deliberated at the committee meeting which will be affecting them directly. As in the past, most of the issues discussed at the committee meeting are pertinent to the welfare of our residents and maintaining a conducive environment for our USJ 23 residents. Hopefully, by having the minutes available through our homepage, more residents will attend the committee meeting if they are aware that certain issues to be deliberated are of interest to them. Some of the issues discussed are privy to our residents only. Therefore minutes of our committee meeting if available at our homepage should be protected similar to the one which our Webmaster has created for our nightwatch roster, (KK Chua)
