In one of my recent conversation with USJ 26 residents, a Encik Hassan informed me that very recently his house was broken into, and subsequently it happened also to a few more houses. Quote: Yee Foon Kong

 

On 30^th July, 2001 morning during our night watch duty, we drove over to USJ 26 for a look. We were shocked to find some police personnel were there, investigating an attempted break-in from the rooftop. According to the house owner, he heard noises on the rooftop and he has no one to turn to. So he called the police and wait for the police to come.  He also informed us that there were many cases of break-ins in USJ 26 and pointed to a corner house and said,” that house already been broken into three time since they moved in”. 1. USJ 23 Neighbourhood Website ( http://usj23.tripod.com) As at  31/07/2001 the no. of visitors to our web site was 1625 .

We plan to start a page for USJ 23 residents networking under Products & Services Directory, and its sole purpose is for our residents to offer any products or services for the benefit of fellow residents. It is for FREE. If you are interested, please contact either Robert Chan or Yee Foon Kong for more information. Do visit our website for any updates happening in USJ 23 and USJ area.

 

2. Paper Lama, Old Newspaper Recycle Program

Following encouraging feedback from residents, we are going to implement this program. The first collection of the old newspaper will be on 12^th.August 2001(Sunday),further details are appended below :

• Collection Place: Next to USJ 23 guard house
• Time: 5.00 to 6.00 pm.

 

3. Projects & Concerns in progress :

• Petronas Gas Pipeline, located parallel to USJ 23 :

Still in progress. Any further development will be advised soonest.      

• USJ 23 Playground Upgrading : Pending

          

• Street lights along USJ 23/5:

Thanks to the excellent efforts and follow ups by Robert Chan, Annie Chan & Chua Kong Khai, on 19/07/2001 MPSJ contractor came and finally repaired the street lights, after bringing to their attention for approx. for 5 months ago. Though this is still temporarily due to the contractor still not unable to find out what the actual fault is.

 

4. USJ 23 Residents & NW Pro Tem Committee 2001 Monthly Meeting

Date: 07/09/2001                         Time: 8.30 pm

Venue: Chua Kong Khai's House (1, USJ 23/5A)

Attendance: Compulsory for all committee members and all residents are welcome to attend. Get Involved

 

5. USJ 23 Neighbourhood Watch

We welcome Khuan Shai Chung, 11A, USJ 23/3A as our new NW member .taking effective 1^st August 2001. Thank you for coming forward to join us. Syabas to you.

 

Night-Watch would be fun if………

 

Thanks to all committed Night Watch members performing your duty. If your neighbours have not joined, talk to them. For members who failed to perform their duty, it is a big shame on them. Through our monitoring, the attendance has shown good improvement.

 

6. USJ 23 Security Services
