They have widen the road to what it was before

It will be safer once it is re-surfaced

25/11/2001 - Have you noticed that they have re-widened the road?

We are thankful to Sime UEP Development Sdn Bhd for taking our views into consideration. Especially Hj. Kamalul Azam Ab. Rashid.

03/11/2001 - We send a follow-up email to Hj. Kamalul Azam Ab. Rashid of Sime UEP Development Sdn Bhd asking about the final solution to this problem. As it ultimately would result in the safety and well being of USJ23 Residents directly. Read our email here.

17/09/2001 - Our complain is highlighted in The Star Metro.
Read the article by Dharmender Singh here.

We also get a phone call from the General Manager of Sime UEP. We understand that a solution would be forthcoming.

08/09/2001 - Litrak sent us an email indicating that the problem was outside of their right of way and thus outside of their jurisdiction - Residents of USJ 23 would like to thank Litrak for their prompt reply.

03/09/2001 - One of our Resident (Mr. CN Lee) wrote in the USJ23 Forum :

Have you ever seen any local authorities or developers narrowing the road and back filled the existing road from three lanes to two? Its happening right in front of us. Is there any thing wrong with the planner or they have some hidden agenda? What shall we do?

Can you see the 4 lanes?

Wow it's going to be a nice looking road when completed

Is it wise to have a turn at the base of the gradient?

Looks like a decent enough trumpet flyover, at least 3 to 4 lanes per direction (including the slip road). We had our reservations about having a turn or U-Turn so near the base of the gradient. Read about it here

Compare this to the one below!!

Compare this to the one below

Now, watch closely as some smart planner (in a matter of a few weeks) does a quickie and reduces a 3 to 4 lane hi-way.

From 4 lanes to a 2 lane bottleneck

Who approves of things like this?

To a 2 lane bottleneck, and to think that this is the gradient of the trumpet flyover. And as if to add insult to injury, they back filled the previously tarred roads? (to cover up the evidence?),  how far do you think they are going to backfill the tarred roads?

It seems that no responsible person is checking the actual progress of the construction, it does not take a rocket scientist to see that it is all wrong. But then again who cares??

When you see things like this you begin to doubt very much the sincerity and seriousness, when developers and local authorities tell you that, and we quote :

"For your information all technical requirement and compliance had been observed during the development. Further approvals from the relevant authorities were required before we embark on the development"

Like what CN Lee said "what shall we do?"

Are the relevant authorities going to look into the matter and rectify it as soon as possible or must we wait for the completion of the project and a serious accident (probably to a Resident of USJ23) to happen before someone looks into this serious error.

Write in to committee@usj23.com and tell us how you feel.
